The Ark Now Offers Shipping

In an attempt to increase vendor sales and better serve customers, The Ark Antiques & Flea Market now offers shipping on most of its inventory.

Most small items within the store are available for shipping. The store is not-yet equipped for furniture or large-item shipments. 

For the past several years, The Ark has limited experience with shipping but does get the occasional request. When an employee took the initiative to help coordinate shipping, Ben Coffey, owner, saw it as an opportunity to serve a larger customer base. “We know a lot of our social media reaches people further than just the local area, so we wanted to be able to satisfy those customers,” said Coffey. Customers are encouraged to comment on photos they are interested in throughout The Ark’s social media platforms and a member of the team will reach out to that customer.

This business decision is intended to increase sales for both the store and the vendors within it. This work is performed with no additional cost to The Ark’s many vendors. Additionally, the availability will increase convenience for many shoppers.

The endeavor of shipping is still recently developed for the business. Many rules and regulations are in place to ensure safety and fairness for all involved, however, “Don’t hesitate to ask” said Coffey, “If we can work it into our operation here, we’ll sure do it.”
